Understand the essential points—from eligibility, screening and payment to visa activation, family applications and using your membership in Thailand.
Understanding the Programme
01Is Thailand Privilege Card the same programme formerly known as Thailand Elite Visa?
Yes. Thailand Privilege Card is the updated brand name of the former Thailand Elite Visa membership programme, operated by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. Members receive a Privilege Entry (PE) visa linked to their membership. It is not permanent residence, an investment migration programme or a work visa.
02What are the main differences between the five memberships?
Bronze and Gold are both 5-year memberships, Platinum is 10 years, Diamond is 15 years and Reserve is a 20-year invitation-only membership. Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Reserve provide 20, 35, 55 and 120 annual points respectively, while Bronze has no annual points. Benefits, service limits and redemption terms follow the latest official privilege manual.
03Who can apply?
Applicants must hold a valid passport and pass official background screening. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, travel history, personal background and current policy. Thai Easy can help review the information before submission, but the final decision rests with Thailand Privilege Card and the relevant authorities.
Application, Screening & Payment
01What documents are normally required?
Applicants generally provide the passport information page, a white-background ID photo, contact details and completed application forms. Additional documents may be requested based on nationality, travel history or screening requirements. Your consultant will provide and review the case-specific checklist.
02How long does background screening take?
Timing varies by nationality, personal history, document completeness and the workload of the relevant authorities, so a fixed completion date cannot be guaranteed. Requests for additional documents may extend the overall process.
03Is the THB 50,000 application fee still required?
The THB 50,000 application fee has been removed under the current policy. As policies may change, your consultant will reconfirm the latest official requirement before formal submission.
04When do I pay the membership fee?
You pay the full membership fee only after the application is approved and an official approval and payment notice is issued. Use only the payment method and account stated in the official instructions, and reconfirm the details with your dedicated consultant before payment.
05Do I pay the membership fee if screening is unsuccessful?
No membership fee is payable if the application is not approved. Any request for further documents, reapplication or waiting period must follow the official notice issued for the individual case.
06Does Thai Easy charge an additional agent fee?
Thai Easy currently does not charge an additional service fee for a standard membership application. Membership fees are paid according to official requirements. If a client separately requests a third-party service outside the standard application scope, the cost will be explained before arrangements are made.
After Approval & Living in Thailand
01How is the visa activated after approval and payment?
After payment and receipt of the official welcome letter, your consultant will help arrange an available visa activation method based on your location, travel plans and current official procedures. The place, documents and appointment time follow the applicable official notice.
02Does the Thailand Privilege Card allow me to work in Thailand?
No. The PE visa does not itself grant the right to work. Anyone intending to take employment or perform activities requiring work authorisation must separately obtain the appropriate visa and work permit.
03Do members still need to complete 90-day reporting?
Yes. Anyone staying continuously in Thailand for more than 90 days must comply with immigration reporting requirements. Available methods and member assistance may vary by location and official arrangements. Thai Easy can provide process guidance.
04What happens when I renew or replace my passport?
Contact Thai Easy or the official Member Contact Centre promptly after receiving a new passport. Follow the instructions for updating or transferring the membership and visa records, retain the old passport and allow processing time before booking travel.
05Is a Thai bank account or driving licence guaranteed?
No. Thai Easy can help with document preparation and process guidance, and some assistance may be available through membership point redemption. Banks, the Department of Land Transport and other institutions apply their own rules and make the final decision independently.
06How can annual privilege points be used?
Points may be redeemed for eligible travel, hotels, transport, leisure, wellness and lifestyle services listed in the official privilege manual. Required points, booking lead times, locations and participating providers may change. Points cannot be exchanged for cash and must be used within their validity period.
Family, Upgrades & Transfers
01Can family members apply together?
Platinum, Diamond and Reserve may permit family add-on applications under the current terms. Each family member must submit documents and pass screening. Promotional fees, qualifying relationships and deadlines are subject to the official terms confirmed at the time of application.
02Can a membership be upgraded?
Bronze, Gold, Platinum and Diamond members may apply for an upgrade under the official conditions in effect at the time. An upgrade may involve the fee difference, remaining membership term and a specified application window. Reserve has no higher membership tier available for upgrade.
03Can membership be transferred to another person?
Bronze, Gold, Platinum and Diamond memberships are generally non-transferable. Any transfer eligibility and conditions for Reserve must follow the formal membership agreement and current official rules and should not be arranged without confirmation.
This page is based on Thailand Privilege Card official announcements, official membership documents and the latest agent information received by Thai Easy. Fees, eligibility, screening requirements, privileges and promotions may change. The terms confirmed by Thailand Privilege Card on the application date prevail. Formal authorisation documents and agent notices are not published on this website but can be provided by a dedicated company consultant upon request.
